This summer on a hot smoky evening I had the opportunity to do a "wreck the dress" type photoshoot. It was a prom dress and there were three of them! In actual fact yes two of the three dresses were wrecked, the sheer fabrics just didn't stand up to the wear and tear, but the peach gown with all the gem stones looked like new when it dried out again! Just a fun idea to capture kids where they are at at a certain point in time. And those smiles! Big happy smiles and hard dimples... those are hard to get with teenagers... Photography is fun and it's these moments that we capture that live on forever.

Hey folks, I'm so sorry, I haven't updated here in a while, its been a gong show. It makes me giggle and puts a smile on my face to say the least what's gone on this year. It's all good. When I look back at the task of updating my website you'll notice some changes... I don't have a studio anymore. I do have a lots of lovely outdoor shoots though, the scenery here in the Okanagan never leaves us looking for a good place to shoot or a lovely vista to be captured. The sage brush and the sunsets never grow old. Anyway, we are still here, working away, capturing life's beautiful moments. I hope you all are doing well too! Did we ever get lucky yesterday! We had actually pushed the photoshoot back a week due to the liquid sunshine we had last week. But when this weekend rolled around it was beautiful outside! We had a great time playing photos and I really think we made the process as painless as possible! Here are a few of my favorites! Just click on the photos to make them bigger.
This week as I was making dinner I looked out and saw that for the time being the rain which we had seen all week had stopped and that the sun was trying to shine. It made everything in the world look shiny and the fall colors were really glowing. I took my camera and my little one and went out to the beach to grab a few photos. We were out there for all of about ten minutes before the rain started again but I think we got some great fall photos.
Although I have not traditionally been very good about keeping my blog up to date, I think that having it incorporated into my main website is going to be easier. Just for the record here is the link to my old blog. May it rest in peace. Times change, people change what's the choice here? There's no choice you can just keep up with the times.
